Hey! First time poster here – I made a meal prep for my first week of a new job, with one of my favorite meals, and it included couscous – the Israeli kind (larger pieces), and when I put it in the fridge and then microwaved it a day later, it got super dry and rather tough. I did add extra liquids and it was good, but bringing them in is kind of a hassle.
Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening? Would Moroccan couscous heat up better? Would it be better if I used more liquid when cooking and didn’t let all of it be absorbed, so there’s still some to absorb when it goes into the microwave? Thanks!
